If your workouts have been lagging lately, it might be because you’re forgetting one of the key aspects of a great workout. Here the elements placed for you to get the most out of your work out.

Be well-rested:

For many of us, sleep is something that gets relegated to the bottom of our to-do list. Sounds extreme? When was your last time you got an uninterrupted eight hours of sleep or more on a regular basis? Can’t remember? That’s exactly my point. Although most of us have learned to accept the reality and catch up on sleep when we can, the truth of the matter is that without regular, quality short sleep.

Be well-fed:

Having a snack of easily digestible carbohydrates an hour or so before your workout will give you a much appreciated boost; however, due to fact that food can take up to 12 hours to be fully digested, this snack will not be used to fuel your workout. Your body will on stored energy to get you through the exercise. If you know that you are going to do in a heavy leg workout make sure that you eat enough carbohydrates, protein and fat on the next day.

Be well-equipped:

This is a simple point that many people tend to ignore. You must have the proper equipment to get the most out of your workouts and minimize your chances of injury.

Be well-organized:

A great way to ensure that you don’t waste any time or effort in the gym is to up your weights and stations before you begin to exercise.
