Big Ouch!!! Prepared Anytime

Cuts, scratches and bruises are scary words to little kids. But with pillow fights, endless racing around the house, impromptu wrestling matches in the garden or living room, and fun, carefree biking around the subdivision happening everyday we shrug it off and say “I’ve seen it all,” then again, maybe not.

Our kids are now successfully raised an explorer, ready to enjoy, play and discover. The downside is they are now prone to accident, big and small. We already know we can’t frustrate their enthusiasm and zest, so as we the parents, all we can do now is stand prepared.

In our homes as well as in the cars we must prepare everything needed for our kids first aid kit and should always be within reach. These are the first aid kit must have:

• Sterilized gauze
• Adhesive tape
• Adhesive and elastic bandage in different sizes
• Antiseptic wipes
• Bar or soap
• Antibiotic cream or ointment
• Antiseptic solutions ( like hydrogen peroxide)
• Tweezers
• Sharp scissors
• Safety pins
• Disposable cold packs
• Calamine lotion
• Ethyl alcohol or alcohol wipes
• Thermometer

We must have all these to be always prepared what ever happens in our homes and wherever we go.
