Tips on How to Avoid High Blood Pressure

My mom is a high blood since we grow up and good enough that she knows how to handle it and one good thing is she always take the good action on how to avoid high blood pressure. Here are some tips on how to avoid high blood pressure;
- Have your doctor check your blood pressure at least once a month to know for sure if you have high blood pressure.
- If you are over weight, even moderate weight loss may help lower your high blood pressure. Weigh loss of 10 to 15 pounds maybe enough to lower slightly elevated blood pressure to normal and help you avoid medication.
- Exercise is the best, combined with a low fat diet is the best way to loss weight and keeps those arteries clog-free. If we don’t exercise it is more likely to develop high blood pressure. Lower intensity workouts such us walking are as good or better at lowering high blood pressure than running or other heavy duty aerobic exercise.
- It certainly not going to hurt anyone to cut down on salt intake and probably will be of real value if you’re successful. Cut off salt from your diet wherever you can. Choose on the shopping displays that has low sodium and always eat fruits and vegetables.
- Tale calcium sources such as skim milk, low fat cheese and canned fish. Consult first your doctor before taking supplements to avoid complications such as kidney stones.
These are only few tips and good reminders on how to protect your body from being a high blood pressure.
