Quitting Smoking is a Hard Thing to Do, How to Quit, Want to Know?
Giving up smoking has immediate and longer term effects. If we try to ask some smokers if they want to quit smoking, the answer is, they want to give up the habit immediately if they could. Some people, who already succeeded at breaking free of tobacco, outline some surefire ways of increasing smokers a chance of quitting and staying clean.
First before quitting smoking we must ask first our selves if why you want to quit. Are we doing this for our self? For our children, want to save money, or afraid being sick? There are many reasons to be considered so try to understand first why you want to quit. We all know that smoking is an addiction, addicted to nicotine and they are literally drug addicts. We must acknowledge we must quit smoking to save our own lives, and that of our love ones. Second, is we must set a date never quit today or tomorrow, we need to set a target date on when we want to start and this allows ourselves for a challenge but ultimate rewarding journey. If possible we will get someone to quit with us, not only our self we need our support system. Quitting smoking is hard to do and we will need someone with whom we can share our goals and the sense of challenge in our life. We must push each other to succeed.
If we really deserve to quit smoking, we will try to get rid of our smoking paraphernalia, throw away lighters. Make it your policy to stop smoking in our homes or even in the car then expand you’re your no smoking zone from there, if we can avoid people who are smoking much better. The most important is never worry about diet until you have succeed for quitting smoking can result in some weight gain and we need to accept this possible consequences. But we need also to accept that this is entirely different concern from smoking. Dieting while trying to break free of cigarettes can only add to the stress and already inherit in trying to quit.
Quitting smoking will be hard with or without nicotine replacement therapies. But it is achievable with or without replacement therapies. What is important is for aspiring quitters to appreciate what they are trying to do, saving lives and star a new life without smoking.

I wrote this blog post last year about a way that certainly helped me. This isn’t an advertisement or anything but I would never have quit if I had tried nicotine replacement. I went cold turkey and for a couple of months I avoided my smoking friends and going out socially in places where smoking was permitted. Fortunately for me, I was ahead of the general trend in this country and smoking was offically banned in public places not too long afterwards. Life was a lot easier. Do you think that drinking and smoking go together? After I cut out my smoking.. it seemed like the level of beers also went down.
Take a look at the post and please let me know what you think. http://nomadicjoe.blogspot.com/2008/10/how-i-quit-smoking.html
