Looking at the pictures that I personally shoot during our family vacation in our place is very nice and relaxing. On that late afternoon that I shoot this picture my children and I was setting on the sand waiting for the sundown and we are not disappointed for we got a perfect picture. While setting on the sand with my kids, they have a lot of questions, they keep on asking me why there is sun rise and sundown. Simply I answered to them that it is through the rotation of the earth. The sun is permanently on its position but the earth that we are living is rotating that’s why we have a sunrise and a sunset. For my simple answer they are partially contended. Taking a vacation in my hometown is very enjoyable and we always do it every time we are free and no class with the kids, in that way we can also visit our parents who are staying in our island Maripipi, located in Biliran formerly under the province of Leyte. How to Become Real Parents

Today, we are living in the world of high technology, wherever we go computers, cell phones are around us which makes our lives go easy not like before and we are influenced by modernization. If we take a look at the situation of today, there are many broken families that are suffering their lives. We must be a good example to our children. Our children will notice the discrepancy between what we say and what we do. We must show to them that we respect our husband and wife so that we will be respected also by our children. When we get married we are not working only for our selves or for our spouse, we are doing our job also to our children. It is not enough that we shower them material things; they need our love and understanding also. Give them what they need, but we need not to spoil them. Discipline also is very important. It is not enough to whip or spank them whenever they commit mistakes. The bottom line in discipline is getting our message across to them. We will tell them why we don’t want them to do those silly things. Our children should understand why it is not proper to misbehave, little by little our message to them will be stored in their minds and we can notice that there are changes in their daily attitudes.

As parents it is important also that we must be patient with them, because children are inquisitive; they are full of questions to ask. Also they are very active, if we have a short temper we should not be married because patience is the key to a happy and intelligent child. If we have enough budgets we better provide them a home where they can find happiness and contentment. There is a song which goes like this, “A house is not a home” meaning it is not only a place where we are protected from the extreme heat of the sun or heavy downpour of the rain. A home is where we sleep, eat and rest and where happiness and contentment dwell also it is our place of refuge when we have problems and a place where whole family stay together happily and harmoniously.

With our children sometimes communication gaps can’t be avoided, but we need to avoid it if we will keep an open line. If possible we need not to monopolize the discussion, give them a chance to talk so that we have a good communication with each other and we can open up what we both want to say and to express our ideas and emotions. One thing more we must be faithfully interested in our children’s undertaking and be generous with our support for them. If they have accomplishments, even if it simple it should be appreciated by us, in that way they are also inspired. We must help them wherever they need us.

Even though we are very busy with our everyday life, we should find time to be wit them. Make our child rearing a happy activity on our part, if possible we must engage worthwhile activities together with our children so make bonding also even for a short time.

Being real parents to our children is the most challenging and rewarding task that we can engage in, By using our common sense and adopting our rule being parents we can be sure that we are parents in the real sense of the world.

My mom’s birthday is coming and I am thinking of what is the best gift that I can give to my mom on her very special day. Give love to our dear parents, for they are the one who gave us birth and the life now that we are enjoying now. Some children are hurting the feeling of their mother, but please don’t. Why I can say this, simply because I am a mother and I can feel what mother felt if they are hurt especially by their children. I can say to myself that I prefer to be hurt by any body else but never with my children, How precious is the heart of the mother. That’s why during their birthday every year I always gave the a gift that is unforgettable because in that way they can felt that they are loved by their children and they can feel that they are very special to us. This picture was taken by me during our vacation in our province and it’s nice to see the green forest around us. It is relaxing in our eyes and perfect place to unwind from the city. I really love vising my home place  often times if we have only time but we are living in the city and the life is so busy and we can visit only our place during no school and  vacation time with my  kids.

Our province has abundant of a coconut product, and it is one way of there source of income to survive for a living. Both my parents are staying in the province and no kids with them, and these is the common situation to every family that even though they have lots of children, but then time will come that we have already own family and of course we will settle also for our own family and parents are staying again like a newly wed.

So, during our stay in my parents house where we take our vacation we really enjoyed the place especially my kids for we all know that in the province we can enjoy fresh fruits, vegetables and keep the most fresh fish that is what we always wanted to eat. We also let some to get a young coconut for us to eat and it is really fresh and delicious that we cannot eat in the city, and all of these are free for we have plenty of coconut tree that is owned by my parents. So, i really thank God for giving us the chance to visit to our place and enjoy all the things around us and at the same time we had a chance to visit my parents.

How to Prevent Sore Eyes

It has been known to us that sore eyes comes by season, and if possible we don’t want to have this kind of disease because it affects our daily work and we are uneasy to move if we have sore eyes. Most of the patients usually complain of an itchy, burning sensation or a foreign body sensation of having sand in the eyes.

What is generally regarded as “sore eyes” is actually an acute viral conjunctivitis, which is highly contagious particularly in densely populated areas. Flu like symptoms such as head ache, low grade fever, nasal discharge and sore throat may precede the condition. Like our throat it may precede the condition. If we have this kind of disease we make sure that we will use our personal wash cloth and towel and me must avoid direct contact to our friends and relatives that are unaffected. To minimize the swelling of the lids and the sandy sensation, cold moist compress may be applied to the affected eye for five minutes at least three times a day. Specific treatment includes eye irritations which sterile normal saline solutions and anti bacterial drops to prevent secondary bacterial infections as per doctor’s order.

We must take of our eyes because it is very important in our everyday life, we cannot move what we want to move or everything that we want to do will be suspended if our eyes is paralyzed or if we have an eye defect. Just like what did happen a few months ago that after I worked in the computer for a whole day and when my friend told me to go elsewhere I automatically take a bath without any hesitations, but take note after an hour my eyes is swelling and having tears without crying. I thought that it was only with the shampoo that I used that comes inside my eyes, but time goes by it is already irritating until such time that I cannot open my eyes and it really hurts. I lay down in my bed without opening my eyes, if I tried to open it I can’t really because it is painful and mom was really pity with my situation. So I was sent to the hospital and have an eye check up, with my eyes close. The doctor put some eye drops until I can open my eyes little by little and happy I am that I can see once again. There, I experience total blindness for I think six hours before I was treated by my ophthalmologist. I told to my self that if the eyes is nothing maybe I don’t want to live the world for I feel that am nothing if I cannot see the world. So, I am very amazed and salute to all blind people that they have the courage to fight and face the reality in life. Today, we still have time to take good care of our eyes, we must do it and aware those things that can affect our sense of sight so that you cannot experience what I had experience before.
