Feelings Do Matter Most

Sometimes in our daily lives, watching movies, especially drama or comedy makes experience us varying kinds of feelings and emotions. Sadness, joy, disgust, love, contempt and etc. and perhaps we can be moved emotionally as to shed some precious tears. Yes, sad movies make us cry and most of us are not really good in hiding our feelings. If we cannot show it we are most likely to tell someone else because we feel we have to.

My feelings got the better of me. Maybe we need to ask our selves that how often we hear some people say, apologetically, especially when they are moved to act kindly or courageously. Yet our feelings show the other side of our humanity. What is a person without feelings? Perhaps we can compare it to a robot. Feelings are the yardstick that makes us happy or sad. Though our feelings sometimes we experience all the range of human emotions, an emotion that is natural and which comes from God. Feelings and intelligence set us differently from animals and I really consider this that feelings are a language that is akin to another human being.

Most of us are not demonstrative in our feelings, not like other liberated countries that they are rather liberated in expressing, kisses, hugs, path on the shoulder, holding hands especially when they expressed their love to their spouses or to their children. However, in my family with a brood of six, we can easily sense when someone is in trouble, on top of the world or in the dumps. We all know when somebody is happy sad, or frustrated. I remember when my younger brother passed the Engineering board Exam, he was so happy and proud that we all rejoice in his good fortune by cooking especial foods for a celebration and it was our way of saying that we are happy for our brother and we are very proud of him even though sometimes he is quite slacker in his classes. But I know he is a good boy and I am very proud of my brother.

Well on the other hand, we can only feel sad movies if it is shared by someone else. Happiness can be compared into a mood that comes and goes in no time. Moody is another term for people who are melancholic and sad. Yes, feelings do matter most, feelings are natural. Yet feelings from the depth of our personality, shaped by a life of time of experience, provide a reliable and almost automatic self guidance system. In my one last analysis, however, the only way we can have a meaningful relationship with someone else is to share our feelings.
