Sugar Apple as a Medicinal Fruit

Sugar apple is a plant that is valued for its edible fruits and therapeutic value. Each plant is specific for certain actions. The leaves of the sugar apple or what we commonly called as (atis) are applied as poultice to children suffering from indigestion or chronic diarrhea. The crushed leaves or the extracted juice maybe placed on the nostril of the person having fainting fits to regain consciousness. The pulped leaves hasten microbial action of swollen parts of our body.

The crushed leaves also can be used or we can apply with coconut oil in our scalp to eliminate lice. However this should be done with precaution since t may irritate the inner surface of the eye lids. This similar may cause pain and redness, resulting in dimness of vision. So, if we try to use this we must be careful so that we can aware those irritations. Abortion also is induced when the powdered seed is applied to the opening of the uterus.

The fruit, mixed with salt is also used as maturate for malignant tumors; or when mixed with ginger, is also good for dizziness.

The root is prescribed for chronic diarrhea, melancholia and spinal diseases. If we suffer this kind of symptoms, we must try first this herbal method in order to minimize our expense in going to the hospital, but if it is in need of doctor it is important also that we will consult it so that can be treated and give the exact medicine for us. This is only a first aid in case of emergency.
