Thinking of Gift This Coming Season

Many of us are thinking of what is a perfect gift that we can give to our love ones this coming season and when in fact some of us are buying gifts little by little in order to intact and make complete so that all that are nearest to our hearts can receive a gift even in a simple way. For me I am thinking for my kids and my nephews a kids backpack so that they can use it daily for their school and a personalized duffle bag for my cousin for he often travel anywhere and sometimes he used to go camping with his friends and I know that a personalized and colorful duffle bag is a nice gift for him.

Wow!!! I am so excited for the coming of this season and also for the home coming of my hubby after ten month of work away from home, and I am fixing my lawn for it is a perfect place to unwind when in fact I am hiring a landscaper which is the Dallas lawn maintenance for I know that they have a good service to their costumers. Deadly Pollution

Most of us are very sensitive especially to pesticides, cosmetics and paint perfumes which resulted in rashes and headaches. Nothing to worry about-so I thought; little did I realize what this could lead to. With this a good friend of mine started her story.

Oh, those flies! So I put insecticides strips. Soon not a fly in sight I thought, how wonderful modern technology is, but this was turning point for my heath. I began having palpitations, vomiting and sudden outburst of crying. What was wrong? I ask to myself, I was happily married and had begun enjoying life then we moved. Our new house was infested with cockroaches, so we spayed it. Suddenly, I couldn’t get my breath. My hubby rushed me to the nearest hospital and the result is the extermination sprayed insecticide. The depression and vomiting returned and time come that I suffer diarrhea, my every bone is aching. Then when we I was requested for a blood test and come out with the result I was revealed shortage of white cells indicating an immune system defect. When I felt that I am getting ok, we went back home. There my vision blurred and other symptoms returned. I have not bee the same since we sprayed our house with insecticides. Then I learned I was allergic to toxic chemicals at home. In time, I began to reacts perfume, household chemicals, hair dye, cosmetics and so many others.

Does my friend’s case indicate that every time we feel the same symptoms, environmental pollutants are to be blame? Our body is wonderfully designed with an immune system that combats. But because of biological inheritance and lifestyle, each one of us reacts in different ways. But as far as I know that in our medical studies it has proven that even in a small amount of chemicals pollutants adversely affect human health?

We have chosen an unwise lifestyle that has resulted in ponderous pollution of the earth eco-system; soil, lakes, oceans and atmospheres have been poisoned, our apathy to our future contrast with Gods great concern for the earth, which after all is his creation and property.

We are all well cognizant of our unclean and unsanitary environment. We undeniably see it in uncollected garbage, in litter careless left or intentionally thrown on the streets and elsewhere.  We smell in it in the suffocating fumes and unpleasant smog fro heavy traffic and factories around us that plague some cities. Many feel the necessity more than twice a day. More and more people are afflicted with different types of allergies and other respiratory ailments.  Fresh air seems to be the most sought after commodity in many different areas.

Perhaps these are the reasons for the frequent vacationing of many city dwellers in the countryside. They enjoy filling their lungs with clean and fresh air and some other enjoy drinking cool crystal clear water from the mountain stream just like what we did during our summer vacation in our province. Others want to go to beaches and relax by the shore or cool of with pleasant immersion with the water.

But, dirt and pollution thrive in this place also, how can that be? The grounds, bodies of water, the air that we breathe are now heavily polluted. But how this ground pollution increase? One major cause is the garbage. Tons of metal, plastics Styrofoam and so may other garbage disfigure our surroundings.  The dirty water that is not good for our health, the rivers, lakes, oceans are getting more and more toxic everyday. They are rapidly becoming incapable of supporting marine life because they are polluted and starved with oxygen. Tons of chemicals, pesticides, the insecticides and so many other toxic wastes are dumped into these bodies of water and contaminated ground water.

The other source of pollution which is the ozone that every burning fossil fuel and chemical sprayed in the air produces pollutants which the effect of  sunlight help bring forth a fatal gas called ozone. Ozone adversely affects our vegetation and may lead to causing more skin pigmentation and skin cancer, impairing human immune system and hindering crop growth.

A sustainable   future calls upon us to control and combat pollution before our only Mother Earth give up and is completely ruined. We can be a great help and the only thing that we ca do is to dispose of wastes properly and this is a simple tasks that does not requires spending money to be able to do it.

These practices are considered to be the most practical and convenient way to manage waste and we can help our eco-system grow.  Practical actions must, however, it will begin first in our homes. Likewise practice it in all areas- in schools, in restaurants, hotels r in anywhere. This must be a part of our day to day management so that everything will be okay and in that way we can help save our Mother Earth where we are living in. My Son’s Friends Smoke

Early this school year when I found out that the very good friend of my 10 year old son is already smoking. I am afraid that my son will do the same when in fact he is still in his younger age and I want him to be aware of it.
