In our society today drug problems has reach to alarming proportions. We must know this all along especially if we have children who are teenagers or even big people are indulging to this kind of activities. This is not a good practice to our children, if we the parents know that our children are doing this kind of addiction, maybe we will try to give an action for this so that this kind of situation will not be worse.

We the parents, plays a vital role to our children. Sometimes parents are taking for granted of the whereabouts of their children and this is not a good practice especially these days that drug addiction is very rampant and sometimes we cannot control the situation. So if we notice that our children are always going out for nothing and with their circle of friends maybe we will try to investigate and give more attention to them.

In the average of the drug users now more than half of suspected drug traffickers are arrested, charge in court and acquitted. So for us parents we will not for our children to be in prison or to be rehab, if possible during their early stage or if we know that they are using such kind of drugs maybe we will try to talk to them heart to heart and maybe they will listen and aware those bad activities.

Drug addiction is one of the factors that are causing a rise in the rate of criminality. People under the influence of drugs are give confidence to commit crimes. If they are taking drugs they can easily commit crimes like rape, murder, massacres and many other animalistic moves that only drug addict can do.

Something to be done to curb drug trafficking and addiction, one way to solve the drug problem is to strike literally and figuratively at its roots. But sometimes our government have a hard time to do this activities, so we better try to guard our children so that they cannot enter into a bad doings that is rampant to teens now a days. Talents Night Celebration of My Son

What an amazing talent my son has. Just last night we were celebrating the talents night of my son who is in Grade-3 as one of the finalist of their Foundation Day Celebration in their school, the San Roque Child Development School, a Montessori school here in Cordova, Cebu. Being a mom I am very proud of my son and the good performance he made on stage that makes the audience entertained and clap with their two hands with full of smile.

Before the competition start, I was in the back stage preparing for his attire, putting a little make-up in his face and giving my son a support in order not to be ashamed in front of the crowd. At first he is quite lonely and he doesn’t talk at all, I ask my son why? And what is happening to him because the competition will now starts please my son do not be ashamed. But still he keeps on silence and I understand him for his talent is not an easy thing to do by a normal boy. He wore Miss Saigon attire and wearing clogs, with earrings, and having a long wig hair. That’s why he is ashamed to face their classmates and friends who are watching him.

When it is already his time to perform, he stand in his chair and go directly to the stage with poise, Ohsss, yes with poise for he is the Miss Saigon for that night. His talent is not only pure Miss Saigon he will interpret the music with action and after that he remove his attire being a girl and inside he is a hunk with a music ”totoy bibo” music that makes the audience clap their hands on the air. But his talent did end in that portion we cut the music and enter the baby laugh and my son has a perfect action to pinpoint the audience with a laugh and that’s the end of his talent with the smile and a big clap from the crowd.

I did not expect my son performance that he will do his best because as what I have said that he is ashamed with his attire, but the attire is not a hindrance I know my son he will do his best just to win the competition. This coming Sunday Feb. 28 is their pageants night and expecting everybody will do their best that they can. Let us watch and see who will win the game.

Lechon Kawali for Your Family Meal

Thinking of what is a good viand for our lunch and my son suggested me to cook for a lechon kawali which is one of their favorite Philippine foods. If I cook this kind of viand I am very happy seeing them with lots of food that they can eat during eating time. My kids prefer to eat foods that are finger foods with no soap. But sometimes I cooked vegetables for them for it is good for our health, but only few veggies they love to eat and I understand them for they are still kids and little by little they will know how important the vegetables in our body. But for now I will make a very yummy lechon kawali for them.

Lechon Kawali Recipe

Ingredients:

1 kg. Pork belly
½ t salt
3 pcs. Bay leaf
2 tsp. pepper corn
Seasonings
Oil for deep frying (1 kilo)

Procedure:

1. Rub pork belly with salt, seasoning and crushed pepper corn.
2. Put enough water to cover the meat pork until tender.
3. When meat id tender long to drip and let it cool and dry.
4. Deep fry until skin id brown.

Try it and it is a good viand for those who are meat eaters.
