How to Prevent Sore Eyes
It has been known to us that sore eyes comes by season, and if possible we don’t want to have this kind of disease because it affects our daily work and we are uneasy to move if we have sore eyes. But, anyway what is sore eyes? With my own research it is unfortunate the cases of conjunctivitis that stuck and affected many people. Since this disease is quite prevalent especially sunny days, we need to have some prevention and if possible aware of having over exposure to the sun.
First of all, conjunctivitis is defined as the inflammation of the thin moist membrane that lines the under surface of the eyelids and the sclera or the white part of our eyes. It may be cause by allergy, bacterial or vital infection or a physical or chemical injury. The symptoms of this include redness of the white part of the eye, swilling of the eyelids and tearing characterized by mucous secretion. However, the discharge may differ in amount and nature depending on the organism present. I experience this kind of sore eyes when I was still in my younger age which I really don’t want to happen again. It is really irritating and I am uneasy to do anything. Most of the patients usually complain of an itchy, burning sensation or a foreign body sensation of having sand in the eyes.
What is generally regarded as “sore eyes” is actually an acute viral conjunctivitis, which is highly contagious particularly in densely populated areas. Flu like symptoms such as head ache, low grade fever, nasal discharge and sore throat may precede the condition. Like our throat it may precede the condition. Like this viral infections, it is a self limiting disease that more often than not posses no serious side effects. Other ocular conditions which maybe mistaken for sore eyes that include more serious eyes conditions.
Since viral conjunctivitis is highly contagious, one should take all precautionary measures to prevent its spread, not only to the affected eye, but more importantly to the unaffected members of the household and the community. To put an old wives’ tale to rest, one does not put an old wives ‘tale to rest, one does not and cannot acquire conjunctivitis by staring at someone who has a sore eyes. Like the common cold, it is spread by droplet infection or direct hand to eye contact. Therefore cleanliness through frequent hand washing with soap and water will minimize the spread of infection. We the parents must advice that touching and rubbing one’s eye may further aggravate the condition. If we have this kind of disease we make sure that we will use our personal wash cloth and towel and me must avoid direct contact to our friends and relatives that are unaffected. To minimize the swelling of the lids and the sandy sensation, cold moist compress may be applied to the affected eye for five minutes at least three times a day. Specific treatment includes eye irritations which sterile normal saline solutions and anti bacterial drops to prevent secondary bacterial infections as per doctor’s order.
We must take of our eyes because it is very important in our everyday life, we cannot move what we want to move or everything that we want to do will be suspended if our eyes is paralyzed or if we have an eye defect. Just like what did happen a few months ago that after I worked in the computer for a whole day and when my friend told me to go elsewhere I automatically take a bath without any hesitations, but take note after an hour my eyes is swelling and having tears without crying. I thought that it was only with the shampoo that I used that comes inside my eyes, but time goes by it is already irritating until such time that I cannot open my eyes and it really hurts. I lay down in my bed without opening my eyes, if I tried to open it I can’t really because it is painful and mom was really pity with my situation. So I was sent to the hospital and have an eye check up, with my eyes close. The doctor put some eye drops until I can open my eyes little by little and happy I am that I can see once again. There, I experience total blindness for I think six hours before I was treated by my ophthalmologist. I told to my self that if the eyes is nothing maybe I don’t want to live the world for I feel that am nothing if I cannot see the world. So, I am very amazed and salute to all blind people that they have the courage to fight and face the reality in life. Today, we still have time to take good care of our eyes, we must do it and aware those things that can affect our sense of sight so that you cannot experience what I had experience before. If we have a sore eyes we must take some action right away and prevent it is possible so that everything will run smoothly and live life happily together with our love ones.
Do Our Children Develop Stress?
This question remains unanswered in my mind until I read the book that says yes, children definitely develop stress. They are just like adults, they also experience stress in varying degrees and ways. I what I had observe with my kids they are very energetic and I think that they are not tired because they keep on playing non-stop that is why it puzzled my mind and now I know already the answer.
Stress among our children manifested through physical and behavioral signs. The very common physical signs of stress in our children can be mistaken as just natural among children but should not be taken for granted as these may lead to serious illness related to stress. Like the pains in the knees and in the lower back are very common signs. Stressful situations keep the muscles tense.
Headache is one common signs of stress. Even our shoulders may also ache but sometimes headache is accompanied by nausea and vomiting as symptoms of an eye defect. There are times when we are over worked in a computer then it so happen that we felt tired and have a head ache and that is also a sign of stress and we need to relax and unwind for a while for our head and our body needs also rest. This is always what I felt every time I am addict to computer because we cannot escape sometimes that we have lots of things to do on the computer, but as what I have said tat we need also to take a rest and relax. Work is always their but our body will not be forever okay so we need to take good care of it.
When our healthy child suddenly becomes sickly and goes from one illness to another, chances are, our child is under stressful conditions. This is because our body’s antibody system loses effectiveness. Our white blood cells which fight bacteria and stress become fewer making the child become more susceptible to illness.
There are lots of behavioral signs of stress. We the parents should pay attention to the sudden changes in our child’s behavior, particularly when these behavioral changes repeated frequently.
How to Become Nutritionally Healthy Individuals
Health is very important in our daily living. We need to take good care of it in order to live life nutritionally healthy. What we has considerable impact on our physical well being. A good nutrition promotes good health. But foods also affect what we fell. To become nutritionally healthy individuals we make sure that we will follow some nutritional guidelines in order to have a healthy life always.
First and foremost our body needs a variety of food we intake everyday. We must plan and consume a variety of foods, we need to follow recommended amounts for each of the food groups, and then if we need convenient foods we will choose those with higher nutritional value and observe the principle of variety.
For our children normal growth through proper diet and monitor their growth regularly in a way of monitoring weight and their height regularly, encourage them a variety and well balance diet and we will include milk in their daily diet or incorporate milk in other foods. When they are in school it is important that we will prepare them nutritional meal and snacks so that they can survive for the whole day in school. If we are in school mind work hard and we get hungry easily so with our kids we will give them nutritional foods as we can.
Fruits and vegetables is a good healthy diet if possible at least two or three servings of veggies in a day and intake of two servings of fruits daily of which one serving is rich in vitamin C. We need to eat also foods that are cooked in an edible oil but if you are risk of heart disease, limit your intake of cholesterol, and fatty meats. This all will really makes us nutritionally healthy if we will observe and follow our daily diet. Weather we are young or old it is very important that we are healthy because health is wealth.

Kids and Health
“Health is wealth”. This is everybody quotation when it comes to health. Children’s health is very important to every parent. We don’t want that there are any sicknesses that happen or enter to our family especially to our children. I told to myself that better the parents sacrifice the pain than my kids. That’s why we all wanted to give everything that our children needed to boost their body resistance.
Vitamins and minerals is always our priority in giving to our kids, eat the right kind of foods and if possible train them to eat vegetables for some kids are aloft and they don’t like to eat vegetables. Fruits are not a problem to my kids they love to eat fruits, but the big problem for me is that they don’t really love to eat veggies.

Cuts, scratches and bruises are scary words to little kids. But with pillow fights, endless racing around the house, impromptu wrestling matches in the garden or living room, and fun, carefree biking around the subdivision happening everyday we shrug it off and say “I’ve seen it all,” then again, maybe not.
Our kids are now successfully raised an explorer, ready to enjoy, play and discover. The downside is they are now prone to accident, big and small. We already know we can’t frustrate their enthusiasm and zest, so as we the parents, all we can do now is stand prepared.
In our homes as well as in the cars we must prepare everything needed for our kids first aid kit and should always be within reach. These are the first aid kit must have:
